Saanjh — dusk, the hour lamps are lit — is a black cotton kurta set with floral embroidery at the chest and cuffs and gathered sleeves. Black is the underserved colour of Indian everyday wear: every wardrobe wants it, few catalogs offer it well. The florals keep it from reading formal, and the gathered sleeves give it a silhouette customers reach for instinctively.
