Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

This site exists for one relationship: a manufacturer in India and a trade buyer somewhere in the world. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what information that relationship generates on our website, what we do with it, and the control you keep over it. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not collect anything the relationship itself does not require.

1. Who we are

Dhanya Lifestyle LLP is a manufacturer and exporter of women's ethnic wear, operating this website as a business-to-business channel for boutiques, wholesalers, retailers, export houses and private labels. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), Dhanya Lifestyle LLP is the Data Fiduciary — the entity that decides how your information is processed. This website is not directed at consumers, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen years of age.

2. What we collect, and only what we need

We collect two kinds of information. The first is what you actively share with us when you raise your hand — an enquiry submitted through the enquiry form, or a trade-partner account registered to unlock wholesale terms. The second is anonymous usage measurement that helps us understand which collections and lines professional buyers respond to. That measurement runs only with your consent, and it is deliberately coarse: it cannot identify you, and it never records your IP address.

Enquiry form
name, company, email, phone (optional), country, the lines you enquired about and your message. Used solely to respond to that enquiry.
Trade-partner account
email, a bcrypt-hashed password (we cannot read your actual password), contact name, company, business type, phone, country, city and GST / tax identification if you choose to provide it, plus your marketing preference.
Anonymous measurement (opt-in)
a random device identifier stored on your device, the collection pages viewed, and a coarse country derived from network headers — never the IP address itself, and never combined with advertising identifiers.
What we never collect
card numbers or banking credentials (payments happen offline, against your quotation), exact location, advertising identifiers, or data from third-party trackers — we run none.

3. How the information is used

Information is used strictly within the purpose you shared it for. An enquiry is used to reply to that enquiry — usually with a quotation, a line sheet or a callback as you requested. An account is used to review your registration, grant access to wholesale pricing, and then serve you as an approved partner. Anonymous measurement is aggregated to see which lines carry demand, so the collection we design next is the collection buyers actually want.

If you tick the marketing opt-in during registration, we may occasionally share new collections and programmes with you on WhatsApp or email. That opt-in is your explicit choice, it is recorded against your account, and withdrawing it takes one message to the Exports Desk — no forms, no retention period.

5. Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data — full stop. A small number of service providers process data on our written instructions so this site can function: the hosting provider that serves the website, the cloud media service that stores and delivers our imagery, and the email delivery service that carries our replies. Each receives only what its function requires. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so by Indian law or a competent authority.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for up to twenty-four months, because B2B sourcing cycles are long and a buyer who enquired in spring often returns the following season. Partner accounts are retained while the partnership is active and for twelve months afterwards, in case dormant partners return — after which they are erased on request or reviewed for deletion. Anonymous measurement events are retained for twelve months in aggregate. You may ask us to erase anything sooner, at any time.

7. Your rights under the DPDP Act

Indian law gives you real, usable rights over your data, and we honour them without bureaucratic friction:

Access & correction
ask us what we hold about you, and correct anything that is wrong.
Erasure
ask us to delete your enquiry history or your entire account — done, with confirmation.
Withdraw consent
withdraw the marketing opt-in or the analytics opt-in at any time; both take effect immediately.
Nominate someone
under the DPDP Act you may nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf; we will accept a written nomination.
Grievance
every request above starts with the Grievance Officer in section 10 — and if it is not resolved to your satisfaction, you have the right to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising cookies and embeds no third-party analytics scripts. The small amount of local storage we use — your basket while you shortlist lines, your login session, your consent choice itself, and, only if you accept, the anonymous measurement identifier — is itemised in the Cookie Policy. Read it here if the detail matters to you: it is short, honest and written the same way as this page.

9. How we protect it

Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes, never in readable form. Access to the partner database is limited to the people who review registrations and serve enquiries, behind authenticated admin sessions. The site is served over encrypted connections, and backups are access-controlled. No system on earth is perfect — but we collect so little, and guard what we collect carefully, that a breach would expose nothing a trade buyer would be uncomfortable losing: no card data, no credentials in readable form, no precise location history.

10. Changes and our Grievance Officer

If this policy changes materially, the revised date at the top of this page will change with it, and continued use of the site after that point constitutes acceptance of the revision. Questions, data requests and grievances all go to the same desk, and a human reads every message:
